This medicine is a vitamin C preparation. It takes part in collagen production to suppress weakening of the skin, bones and blood vessels, to protect the adrenal cortex from stress, and to suppress formation of melanin pigment.
It is usually used to prevent and treat vitamin C deficiency, supply in poor intake of vitamin C from meals, and when deficiency/metabolic disorder of vitamin C are suspected to be the cause of drug poisoning or skin disorder.
